AI Use & Ethics.

AI is an extremely polarising topic. There are enormous problems with it - creators have had their content stolen and plagiated on an unimaginable scale. Resources are burnt at an equally unimaginable rate. People around the world are fighting back against data centres popping up like mushrooms on a wet autumn day. Hardware has gotten so expensive that many can't afford it anymore, due to AI training data centres gobbling up all free capacities. Books have been burned after being destroyed to be more easily scanned and fed into AI learning systems. AI is part of the reason I was unemployed for over a year in 2024/2025.

Which is also part of the reason why I am now using AI in ways that I can justify to myself, very much to the detriment of my relationship with artist friends. Every single job I applied for in the past required some sort of AI interaction. My current job also (cautiously) includes AI use.

Within my own ethical framework, I am educating myself in the use of AI to keep myself employable and make up for my weaknesses. This website is part of that.

What was AI involved in?

I used ChatGPT for HTML, CSS and spellchecking, nothing else. The website is purposefully kept modular and as simple as possible - no server-side execution, no bulky javascript, no cookies, no tracking.

Colour palette, ideas, functionality, design/layout, menu, symbolism, editorial content and any media used are by me. Copyright for third parties will be given where required and if necessary.
